This template should be added at the beginning of incomplete articles. Please enter more detailed indications as the first argument about what the article is still missing, whether it is a work in progress and the like; consider expanding the description in the discussion page.

You can override the default discussion page with a second optional argument:

Alternatively you can point to a specific section in the default talk page with the named {{ic|section}} parameter:

Do not confuse this template with [[Template:Expansion]], which is used to flag articles that are relatively complete but lacking in detail.
