	VeryNice は動的に実行ファイルの nice レベルを調整するデーモンです。nice レベルは CPU リソースを割り振るときの実行ファイルの優先度を示します。レスポンスが重要な実行ファイル、X やマルチメディアアプリケーションなどを、{{ic\|/etc/verynice.conf}} で ''goodexe'' として定義してください。同じく、バックグラウンドで動作して CPU の消費量が激しい、make などは ''badexe'' として定義できます。優先度を付けることで負担が大きいときのシステムの反応性が高められます。

	==設定==
	VeryNice はシステム全体の設定ファイル ({{ic\|/etc/verynice.conf}} とユーザー個別の設定ファイル ({{ic\|~/.verynicerc}}) の両方から自動的に設定情報を読み込みます。両方の設定ファイルの構文は一緒です。システム全体の設定に書かれた制限的な設定はユーザー個別の設定よりも優先されます。当然、ユーザーの {{ic\|~/.verynicerc}} ファイルの設定はユーザーのプロセスにしか影響しません。{{ic\|verynice.conf}} のサンプルファイルは {{ic\|/etc/verynice.conf}} や {{ic\|/usr/local/etc/verynice.conf}} にインストールされます。
