Cloudbook には4つのバージョンが存在します: 11インチディスプレイの AO1-131-C9PM と AO1-131-C620、14インチディスプレイの AO1-431-C2YR と AO1-431-C7F9。それぞれ少しずつハードウェアの構成が違います (例: ワイヤレスカード)。

インストール (レガシーモード)

カーネルバージョン 4.2.5 が含まれた、2015_12_01 イメージでインストールができることを確認しています。

BIOS 設定

  • タッチパッド: Basic
  • ブートモード: Legacy
  • ブートの順序: eMMC ブロックデバイスのブート優先度を USB ブータブルデバイスよりも低くしてください。

保存して終了してください。

カーネルパラメータ

以下のオプションがないと、インストールイメージは完全にロードされません:

  • edd=off
  • noapic

以下のオプションがないと、カーネルは Acer Cloudbook と互換性のない pinctrl_cherryview モジュールを自動的にロードしてしまいます:

  • modprobe.blacklist=pinctrl_cherryview

モジュールがロードされると、ACPI の問題が複数発生して systemd-udevd がフリーズして問題を報告します。

ブートローダーのカーネルパラメータ行の末尾に以下のようにパラメータを追加してください: 

linux /vmlinuz-linux ... edd=off noapic modprobe.blacklist=pinctrl_cherryview

インストール

  • 上記のカーネルパラメータを使えば特に問題なく機能するので、通常通りにインストールを行ってください。
    • ワイヤレス NIC のモジュールはカーネルに含まれているため、Wi-Fi は特に特別な設定をしなくても動作します。
  • ブートローダーの設定ファイルに edd=off noapic カーネルパラメータを追加して pinctrl_cherryview モジュールを忘れずにブラックリストに追加してください。詳しくはカーネルモジュール#ブラックリストを参照。

インストール (UEFI モード)

カーネルパラメータを追加する必要はありません。

BIOS 設定

  • タッチパッド: Basic
  • ブートモード: UEFI
  • ブートの順序: eMMC ブロックデバイスのブート優先度を USB ブータブルデバイスよりも低くしてください。
  • セキュアブート: 無効、あるいは BIOS メニューから Arch ISO のブートローダーを信頼するように設定。

保存して終了してください。

トラブルシューティング

GDM

GNOME/GDM をインストール・起動すると、ログイン画面が操作できないレベルでちらつきが発生します。GDM#Xorg バックエンドを使うを見てください。。

アイドル状態で高負担になる

起動時に rtsx_usb_ms カーネルモジュールがロードされますが機能せずシステムにとって不要です (top でこのモジュールに関連するカーネルスレッドがゾンビプロセスとなっていることを確認できます)。モジュールは安全にブラックリストに追加できます。

Bluetooth

デフォルトでは RF-kill によって Bluetooth デバイスが無効化されます (AO1-431-C8G8 で確認)。有効化することで Bluez で問題なく使えるようになります。
