Originally [[Wikipedia:AMOS BASIC|AMOS BASIC]] was a dialect of the [[Wikipedia:BASIC|BASIC]] programming language implemented on the Amiga, inspired by the Atari ST computer version [[Wikipedia:STOS BASIC|STOS]]. AMOS BASIC was published by Europress Software and originally written by [[Wikipedia:François Lionet|François Lionet]] with [[Wikipedia:Constantin Sotiropoulos|Constantin Sotiropoulos]]. It was a major successful product with many programmers learning to code on this platform in the early days of home computing. |
