低電圧化はコンピュータプロセッサや部品の駆動電圧を動的に減らします。動的電圧スケーリングによって電圧を抑えることでパフォーマンスに影響を与えることなく消費電力を減らしたり発熱を少なくすることができます。

概要

• PHC - 旧世代の Intel と AMD のプロセッサを低電圧化するツール。intel_pstate CPU 周波数ドライバーとは互換性がありません。
• #intel-undervolt - Haswell 以降の Intel CPU を MSR を使って低電圧化するツール。intel_pstate と互換性があります。
• #amdctl - a tool for undervolting K10 and newer AMD CPUs.
• K10ctl - overclock and undervolt an AMD K10 processor (e.g. Phenom, Phenom II) by changing its P-States.

ツール

intel-undervolt

intel-undervolt は MSR を使用する Haswell 以降の Intel CPU を低電圧化するツールです。このツールは こちらの記事 の内容を元にしています。MSR と MCHBAR レジスタを使ってパワーリミット・温度リミットを変更できます。

インストール

intel-undervolt パッケージでインストールできます。

設定と使用方法

以下のコマンドは現在の電圧設定を出力します:

# intel-undervolt read

設定ファイル /etc/intel-undervolt.conf を編集して設定してください。CPU Cache を -100mV だけ低電圧する設定例:

ノート 'CPU' と 'GPU' の値を変えても効果はありません (少なくとも ASUS Zenbook UX430UQ ノートパソコンの場合は)。

設定ファイルを保存したら以下のコマンドでテストしてください:

# intel-undervolt apply

設定が適用されたら Success と出力されます。もう一度現在の設定を確認してみてください:

# intel-undervolt read

設定を変更しても安定しているようだったら intel-undervolt.service を有効化することで変更を永続化できます。

amdctl

amdctl is a tool for undervolting K10 and newer AMD CPUs.

Installation

The tool can be installed as amdctl-git^AUR.
