Steam Deckは、ゲームに特化した Valve 社のカスタム PC ハードウェアです。しかし、通常の PC としても使用可能であり、カスタマイズされた Plasma セッションが付属しています。また、完全にアンロックされているため、Arch Linux を含む好きな OS をインストールすることができます。
インストール
microSD カードスロットまたは USB-C ポートから USB インストールメディアを使用することができます。
デッキを起動したまま、Volume Downを押しながら Power ボタンを押します。Arch Linux インストールメディアを選択します。
ファームウェア
2022年10月現在、fwupd は Steam Deck のどのデバイスもサポートしていません。ファームウェアのアップデートは SteamOS を通じて提供されます。
UEFI 設定にアクセスするには、Volume Up を押しながら Power ボタンを押してください。

Volume Down+⋯(the button under the right touchpad) and press thePowerbutton to reset the UEFI settings to their defaults (keep all buttons exceptPowerheld, the LED will blink during the operation and stop once done, then release the buttons).
Advanced settings
AMD's CBS and PBS settings are not accessible by default, but can be unlocked (running the resulting binary will be silent and finish with a return code of 119) to have access to undervolting and overclocking options.
オーディオ
2022年10月現在、Deck のスピーカーシステムおよびヘッドホンジャックは動作しません。外部オーディオデバイスは USB, Bluetooth, WiFi が使用可能です。HDMI オーディオもバニラカーネルで動作しています。
オーディオを動作させるには、linux-steamosAURカーネルをインストールしてください。
ファンコントロール
Steam Deck のファン制御は Valve の jupiter レポジトリで提供されるデーモンによって拡張できますが、なくても十分に機能します。
メインラインカーネルを使用している場合、対応する ACPI 機能を曝すには Valve カーネルのパッチが必要です。
