Arch Linux で・Arch Linux のために開発している。Arch Linux と・上で使用することを目的とする新しいソフトウェアを作っている場合、製品の目的を示すような方法でトレードマークを使用することができます。例えば、Arch Linux のシステム管理ツールを作っている場合、受け入れられるタイトルは "Arch Linux のシステム管理" や "Arch Linux ベースのシステム管理" などです。ArchMan・Arch Management・ArchTools といった名前は全く推奨しない上、問題であると考えることもあります。さらに、存在しない支持を暗示したり、プロジェクトの信用やブランドを不当に、または混乱させて利用しようとしたりする方法でトレードマークを使用することはできません。

トレードマークライセンスが必要な制限された使用
Arch Linux プロジェクトリーダーによる明示的な許可は、上で明示的に許可した以外のいかなるトレードマークの使用にも必要です。それらには以下を含みます。
- 全ての営利的使用。
- 製品に営利的目的がある場合の、私達により提供された製品を含む、またはその上で開発されたソフトウェア製品で、またはそれと関連しての使用。

例外はありますが、以下のようなケースのトレードマークの使用が承認されることはほとんどありません。
- トレードマークを会社名で使用すること。
- トレードマークを、営利的な目的のあるドメイン名で使用すること。営利的な目的は会社や製品の宣伝から、広告に生成された収入の収集まで及びます。
- ソフトウェアや製品がほとんど変更さ'れていない Arch Linux 製品であるか、上で説明している通り正しく "リミックス" と記載がある場合を除いて、ソフトウェアや製品を Arch Linux (または他の関連するトレードマーク) の名前で呼ぶこと。
- 他の商標やロゴと組み合わせて使用すること。これはトレードマークを "組み合わせ商標" を作る形で使用すること、一般的に新しい商標としての使用と認識されるような方法 (例えば、Club Arch Linux や ArchBooks、または特別なフォントや表現を単語や画像の近くで使用し、2つが何らかの方法で結び付いているという印象を与える方法) でトレードマークと他の単語を組み合わせて使用することを含みます。
- 認証・公式・我々や我々の製品やサービスと公的に関連していると示している商品やサービスとの組み合わせで使用すること。
- 存在しない支持を暗示したり、プロジェクトの信用やブランドを不当に、または混乱させて利用しようとしたりする方法でトレードマークを使用すること。
- Arch Linux を中傷して、明確な第三者によるパロディではないような方法でトレードマークを使用すること。
- Arch Linux プロジェクトにより提供された製品の多くの重要な変更があるバージョンを含む、つまりコードや製品に関するサービスへの素材的な変更を加えたソフトウェア製品との関連で使用すること。
- 主な目的や結果が検索エンジンのランキングや結果リストに影響を与えることであり、トレードマークの議論や開発・支持ではない、web ページのタイトルやメタタグに使用すること。
ロゴ使用ガイドライン
上記で課された制限の他に、ロゴを表示するときはいつでも トレードマーク表示 ( ™ ) をそのまま残さなければなりません。
我々のロゴは複数の色で表現されていて、視覚的な一貫性を維持することは重要です。つまり、標準的な形でのみロゴを使用することが推奨されますが、何らかの方法で修正する必要がある場合には、以下に注意してください。
- 拡大・縮小はロゴの元の縦横比を維持する必要があります。
- モノクロのバージョン (白、黒など) は、カラフルな、あるいは "うるさい" 背景に適用し、ロゴを読むのが難しくなる場合など、特定の状況でのみ使われる必要があります。

Arch Linux トレードマークポリシーは、Ubuntu プロジェクト の厚意により、CC-BY-SA ライセンスで公開されています。これを基にあなた自身のプロジェクトのトレードマークポリシーを作ることは自由ですが、派生元として Ubuntu プロジェクト へのリンクを表示し、変更した部分も他の人に自由に使用できるようにしなければなりません。
