== インストール ==

多数存在する [https://wiki.tox.chat/clients Tox クライアント] のどれかをインストールしてください。依存パッケージとして {{pkg|toxcore}} がインストールされます。

現在、公式リポジトリには2つのクライアントが存在します:

== ノードの実行 ==

Tox で他人と接続するには、まず [https://wiki.tox.chat/users/nodes DHT ノード] に接続する必要があります。全ての DHT ノードは相互に接続され、全てのユーザーが DHT ノードに接続している限り、一方向あるいは双方向で他者と接続することができます。

デフォルトでは、tox のブートストラップサービスファイルは {{ic|/usr/lib/systemd/system}} にありますが、systemd がサービスファイルを認識しないため、{{ic|/etc/systemd/system}} に移動する必要があります:

 # mv /usr/lib/systemd/system/tox-bootstrapd.service /etc/systemd/system

デーモンを実行するためのユーザーと設定フォルダを作成:

 # useradd --no-create-home --shell /bin/false --user-group tox-bootstrapd
 # mkdir --verbose /etc/tox
 # chown --recursive --verbose tox-bootstrapd:tox-bootstrapd /etc/tox

''systemd'' をリロードして、新しいユニットをスキャンさせます:

上記の設定ファイルを編集して [https://wiki.tox.chat/users/nodes Tox wiki] に書かれているノードを選択してください。

tox-bootstrapd サービスを[[起動]]・[[有効化]]して、Tox ノードが問題なく動作していることを確認してください:
