Trident ドライバーはかつて存在していた半導体メーカー Trident によって製造されたビデオチップセットをサポートしています。(Cyber)Blade, Image, ProVidia, TGUI シリーズのチップが対応しています。ISA と VLB Trident カードもサポートされています。

==インストール==

[[Xorg]] をインストールしたら後は {{AUR|xf86-video-trident}} パッケージをインストールするだけです。

==設定==

Trident 製のカードはとても低速なので、色深度は16ビットにすると良いでしょう (Screen セクションの DefaultDepth)。8ビットにするとさらに高速化されますが、ほとんどのプログラムで色変換の問題が発生します。例えばブラウザで画像を表示するとアンディ＝ウォーホルのアートみたいになります。

ノートパソコンによっては Xorg によってディスプレイのネイティブ解像度が認識されず Xorg がクラッシュすることがあります。"NoDDC" や "UseTiming1024" を追加することで問題が解決します。数字は使っているディスプレイの横の解像度に合わせてください。解像度が 800x600 なら "UseTiming800" になります。
